The Belmont Towers
East Side EIFS Repairs & Painting
This project began as a conversation to make the East side of this beautiful building “watertight”. An infrared report was put together for just one stack of the building on the north end.
I agreed that is very important to repair any compromised EIFS, which stands for Exterior Insulation Finishing System. It’s a foam exterior with waterproofing materials behind it that keep moisture from entering the building. The conversation then began about taking care of all 5 stacks that face the boardwalk.
Access was going to be a challenge, and especially around the upcoming holiday season with all of the activity on the inlet end of town. Our company coordinated with the property manager for the building, as well as, the store owners below to ensure a successful project. We danced around owner rentals and Christmas gatherings.
I am happy to say that it was a very successful project. That side of the building is watertight. All The paint matched up great and our EIFS repairs blended in nicely. We installed new caulk around the windows and where the balcony leading edges meet the towers.
What a great job by the crew. A thanks to the Belmont management and the owners of The Belmont Towers. You guys were great!!
